Decisions, Decisions....!

The main question I have to face is: Do I love Physics enough to give up my well-paid job to go back to the fundamental research?

An idea occurred to me is that I may be able to delegate the main responsibilities of my job, whilst getting paid for it, AND to return to my PhD.

I am currently discussing this with my parents here in Hilusig and Tacloban. (Sounds a bit like the conference in Iceland in "You Only Live Twice" - the parties go to a neutral territory to discuss a highly emotive issue)
