The Great Gig in the Sky

Richard (Rick) Wright died today aged 65.

One of the founder memebers of Pink Floyd, the quintessential English progressive rock band.

He was the drummer and keyboardist.

Their most famous album being "Dark Side of the Moon" (1973), and quite out of the blue, Rick wrote this.

Or did he? There is a rumor that Clare Torry improvised the whole thing and they published it anyway.

Either way, the only piece ever to come close has been Mike Oldfield's "The Inner Child" from "Tubular Bells III".
